Engage X2 Elongated Review + PRH

The Engage X2 Elongated is our premium pick for players who want more reach and an assertive response without giving up the feeling of a deliberate, controlled paddle. It combines a long profile with a foam-based platform and a micro-weave carbon face. Use code PRH through our Engage promo code page to copy the partner offer and open the store route.

A premium build with a clear player fit

Engage builds the X2 around layered foam, perimeter support, and fiberglass weighting near the paddle edges. The brand’s goal is to combine energy return with stability and feel. That gives the X2 a more considered story than a paddle that simply adds length and calls the result power.

The elongated outline is the decision that matters most. It adds reach and leverage for drives, serves, and shots taken on the move. The narrower face also asks more of your contact point than a widebody. We recommend it to players who already know they like a longer paddle, not to someone still choosing a first shape.

Power that leaves room for touch

Engage presents the X2 as a power-oriented model with a more controlled response. Our shared paddle notes place it among the stronger options for attack while giving it enough feel to stay useful around the kitchen. That blend is why we like it as a premium all-court choice for an advanced player who wants to create pace and still guide the next shot.

The soft outer layers and firmer inner core are intended to provide dwell and rebound together. The product page also describes an expanded sweet spot and reduced vibration. Those are manufacturer design aims; they do not mean every player will experience the same feel. If you prefer a very muted paddle or need maximum forgiveness on mishits, choose a wider profile.

Who should choose it

Choose the X2 Elongated if you value reach, like to attack from the baseline, and want a premium build that still aims to support placement. It can suit an aggressive doubles player who likes to counter and drive, as well as a singles player who needs more court coverage.

Skip it if its price only makes sense when every discount stacks. Engage’s current product page says some discounts are excluded, so treat the PRH savings as an estimate until the cart confirms it. Our best pickleball paddles guide compares the X2 with more forgiving shapes, while the power paddle guide puts reach-first models side by side.

Before ordering, think about how often you defend at the kitchen line and whether a longer paddle already feels natural in your hand. If you move from a widebody, give yourself time to adjust to the narrower target. The X2’s intended advantages are easiest to use when the shape matches your timing and preferred contact point.

Our verdict

The X2 Elongated is a compelling choice for players who want premium construction, reach, and attack in one package. We recommend it when you already prefer an elongated paddle and want a more composed feel than a one-note power build. If you value a broad contact area above reach, start with a widebody; if the X2’s profile fits your game, check PRH in the live cart and decide from the final price.
