Enhance ArmorGrit Widebody Review + PRH

The Enhance MPP Turbo ArmorGrit Widebody is our best-value pick for players who want an easy-to-place paddle with a more responsive, attacking side. It keeps the MPP Turbo foam platform and adds a new surface system, while the widebody outline stays friendly to doubles players. A forgiving shape with a lively platform

The widebody version is the least demanding shape in the MPP Turbo family. Its broader face gives you a comfortable target when blocking a drive, resetting under pressure, or moving through quick kitchen exchanges. That makes it easier to recommend to recreational doubles players than the longer Elongated option.

Enhance builds the MPP Turbo around a floating foam core, a perimeter ring, and internal weighting. The company positions that construction as a way to combine energy return with a stable, forgiving response. Our shared paddle notes support the broad player fit: it offers an attacking feel without asking every player to give up face area to get it.

What ArmorGrit adds

ArmorGrit is the headline update. Enhance describes a textured carbon face with a proprietary coating that is intended to protect the underlying texture and preserve ball interaction. The appeal is clear: players want a paddle that keeps useful spin as the face ages, and the company is trying a different surface approach to address that need.

We would not treat a surface coating as proof of a fixed lifespan. Wear varies with balls, court time, cleaning, and storage, and the product page does not establish a guaranteed duration. If surface life is your main reason to upgrade, compare the brand’s description with the durable-grit paddle guide and decide whether its design rationale fits your priorities.

Who should choose the Widebody

Choose the ArmorGrit Widebody if you play mostly doubles, want a more forgiving target, and like a responsive paddle that can still handle touch shots. It is a sensible option for players moving up from a basic paddle who want a clear performance upgrade without going straight to a reach-first shape.

Choose the Elongated version if you already prefer extra reach and leverage. Our Enhance MPP Turbo ArmorGrit Elongated review explains that shape’s tradeoffs. If you are still deciding, start with the comparison in our best pickleball paddles guide.

The Widebody is also the more natural transition for a player coming from a standard paddle. It keeps the familiar broad target while introducing the MPP Turbo platform and ArmorGrit face, so the upgrade story is straightforward: more performance-oriented construction without asking you to change your preferred shape. That makes it a particularly sensible option for doubles players who want to improve their attacking game while keeping blocks and resets comfortable.

For a first paddle purchase, compare the grip and handle feel with your current setup and confirm the selected shape on the order page. Paddle preference is personal, and a forgiving outline cannot replace clean footwork or contact. The value here is that the design leaves room to play several styles rather than pushing you toward one narrow use case.

Our verdict

The MPP Turbo ArmorGrit Widebody is an appealing value when you want a comfortable contact area and an updated surface on a lively, stable platform. We recommend it to doubles players who want spin and forgiveness in the same paddle. ArmorGrit gives the product a clear point of difference; the PRH offer helps the value, while the manufacturer’s durability claims still deserve a measured read.
